I'll admit, designing things to fail in the most spectacular way possible should offend my engineering senses. But it's just so much fun. Ever since the original RollerCoaster Tycoon, a staple of my parks has been some sort of deathtrap ride. Most of them were extrordinarily elaborate contraptions, designed to take the park guest through minutes of riding before their ultimate demise.
Not the Rainbow of Death, though. The key to this ride is simplicity. Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture heralds the speedy demise of our esteemed park guests as a fireworks show honors their passing.
