Varley's 2009 play, originally scheduled for the Rose Ball, instead took place in Darkshire. Here is the log!
| Chelody yells: Everyone, please take your seats. |
| Kayasi smiles at Ravencrown. |
| Silveria smiles at Varley. |
| Varley stands next to Lumia. |
| Chelody beckons Sutira over. |
| Kayasi says: I'm alright, you? |
| Silveria looks around. |
| Varley waves at Silveria. |
| Silveria says: ... Seats. Where? |
| Ravencrown kneals to be closer to Kayasi. |
| Florinai says: Floor. |
| Varley pokes Savvi. Hey! |
| Silveria says: Thanks. |
| Varley whispers to Savvi. |
| Florinai nods. |
| Tharyn points at Silvy's backside. "There." |
| Zhàlar peers at the stairwell. |
| Ravencrown says: Did I miss anything? |
| Chelody yells: Sadly we do not have many, so wherever you might find a seat. |
| Threnn fills a bottle with juice and puts it in Naiara's hands. |
| Talaana adjusts Shaila's hair for her. |
| Kayasi says: They haven't started yet. |
| Silveria mutters, "*Tharyn!*" |
| Talaana says: Pretty. |
| Shaila says: Thanks! |
| Tharyn grins wickedly at Silveria. |
| Talaana nods. |
| Ravencrown says: That's good... funny how my sister got the invitation... and I'm the one who wants to join! |
| Chelody says: First I would like to say thank you to everyone for coming and supporting tonight's efforts! |
| Khaetlyn glances at the knight, then the elf, then the knight, and wonders what she got herself into. |
| Kayasi nods at Ravencrown. |
| Ravencrown shakes her head in disbelief. |
| Aynex seems to be sobering up. |
| Varley cheers at Chelody! |
| Varley says: Woo! |
| Florinai cheers at Chelody! |
| Ilarra fumbles in her perfectly dry clothing for a cigarette. How is she dry? Even her hair is dry! |
| Maevisa has joined the raid group. |
| Kayasi says: Who is your sister? |
| Varley says: Darkshire! |
| Ravencrown cheers at Chelody! |
| Varley cheers at Chelody! |
| Ravencrown says: Ravenwings |
| Ravenwings says: Shh, crown.. Even our seige leader mixes us up.. |
| Savvi has joined the raid group. |
| Silveria gives Khaetlyn a reassuring smile. As well as she can, while constantly throwing longing glances at the shadows. |
| Lumia says: Varley, shouldn't you be up there? |
| Ravencrown smacks her sister on the shoulder gently. |
| Kayasi nods at Ravencrown. |
| Varley says: Nah, I know what I'm doing! |
| Varley smiles at Lumia. |
| Lumia opens her mouth. |
| Ravenwings nudges her Core Pup closer to Crown. "Hes warm, hug him and dry off!" |
| Lumia closes it again. Best left unsaid. |
| Chelody says: Ah- now I would like to direct your attention to the woman who started tonight's grand efforts! |
| Khaetlyn trails the elf's gaze once or twice, curiously. |
| Farrin Daris says: Where is everyone? |
| Ravencrown looks around. |
| Tharyn loops his arm through Silvy's left, and motions for Khaetlyn to do the same to her right. Nope. not going anywhere. |
| Desseral glances at Illarra and subconciuosly tries to look fancier. She's dry too! |
| Tiran smiles at Sutira. |
| Sutira bows her head as though modest. |
| Kriysia shifts slightly on the floor, trying to get comfortable. |
| Chelody says: Miss Sutira Reslind! |
| Silveria blinks at Khaetlyn, realizes what she's doing, and stops shooting glances at the shadows. |
| Kayasi smiles at Sutira. |
| Chelody smiles at Sutira. |
| Florinai says: Woo! |
| Khaetlyn awkwardly loops the elf's arm. Nope.. not on her watch! |
| Chelody says: Ah- go on. |
| Chelody bows before Sutira. |
| Silveria tugs her arms away hastily. |
| Shaila says: ..I can't see |
| Shaila gently pats Talaana. |
| Xija claps excitedly for Sutira. |
| Khaetlyn shrugs helplessly at the knight. |
| Varley also Woos! |
| Varley says: Woo! |
| Kerias picks up Shaila. |
| Sutira smiles, and bows, before adjusting the silver bangle on one wrist, the elegant cloth wrapping on the other. |
| Varley seems a little tipsy from the Jug of Bourbon. |
| Ravencrown hugs Chelody. |
| Shaila cheers! |
| Kerias raises her above the others. |
| Ravencrown hugs Panda Cub. |
| Sutira says: Ladies... Gentlemen. Brave adventurers, heroes. |
| Varley says: That's me! |
| Varley flexes his muscles. Oooooh so strong! |
| Ravenwings bonks Ravencrown on the noggin. Doh! |
| Silveria listens intently to Sutira. |
| Lumia smirks slyly at Varley. |
| Lumia gently pats Varley. |
| Hinote covers her face with her palm. |
| Ravencrown points at Ravenwings. |
| Kyoshi has joined the raid group. |
| Aynex listens intently to Sutira. |
| Sutira says: From the small amount that I know of you, and of the crowd before me, I know that the whole of Azeroth owes you a debt. |
| Sutira says: A debt for putting your lives on the line, many of you, time and time again. Willfully fighting the things which threaten darkness across the lands. It would be safe to say that almost everyone here has paid their debt to society. |
| Sutira smiles. |
| Silveria smiles shyly. |
| Varley isn't so sure. He has a lot of debts with shady collectors. |
| Florinai flexes her muscles. Oooooh so strong! |
| Ilarra looks thoroughly entertained. |
| Khaetlyn listens to the speaker but lets her gaze wash along the heroes that are standing in her ranks, and is humbled. |
| Farrin Daris says: I fear something dark is coming. |
| Threnn peers at Sutira searchingly. |
| Lumia looks bored, picking at her nails. |
| Sutira says: Yet, I am fortunate enough to have run into Lady Chelody not a month ago, and after talking with her... about my hopes, and my dreams for this town, she did not just listen. |
| Kerias just holds the smaller human up. |
| Varley pokes Lumia. Hey! |
| Varley seems to be sobering up. |
| Lumia frowns with disappointment at Varley. |
| Chelody pulls down her mask a little. |
| Kayasi smiles at Sutira. |
| Ravencrown glares angrily at Ravenwings. |
| Sutira says: She offered to help. And, after a meeting with the order of the rose, they offered to help. To help by coming here, by preparing an event to show that yes, Darkshire can be a place again where people smile, and laugh loudly. |
| Silveria smiles at Winter Reveler. |
| Varley seems a little tipsy from the Jug of Bourbon. |
| Silveria smiles at Sutira. |
| Florinai says: Woo! |
| Xija lavishes praise upon Chelody. |
| Silveria smiles at Chelody. |

| Varley says: Darkshire! |
| Aynex nods and smiles in agreement. |

| Korin guesses, Chelody is sort of nice, now, isn't she? |
| Sutira says: Darkshire is a place covered in darkness, in a curse that, in light of all the woes of the world, is often forgotten. |
| Sutira says: The people here suffer, and yet still support the alliance, and the crusade with the few crops they do have, and are the first line against the dead which rise from their very graveyards. |
| Sutira looks around with a measure of somberness. |
| Farrin Daris says: Where is everyone? |
| Varley hates skeletons! |
| Sutira says: Your presence here, your attendance here, helps to recognize this plight. Helps to fund the efforts of the guard. And, helps prepare us for the future. |
| Chelody nods at Sutira. |
| Sutira says: From the bottom of my heart, and on the behalf of Darkshire, I thank all of you, and hope that this is only the beginning. |
| Florinai cheers! |
| Shaila cheers at Sutira! |
| Sutira bows, deeply and graciously. |
| Tiran claps excitedly for Sutira. |

| Chelody slowly walks over and adjuts her gloves before bowing low. |
| Chelody bows down graciously. |
| Kraye eyes the Jug of Bourbon dubiously |
| Ravenwings says: Crown! |
| Chelody is now the group leader. |
| Ravencrown says: Shorry! ...hic! |
| Ravenwings bonks Ravencrown on the noggin. Doh! |

| Chelody says: Tonight we travel to tiny inn buried in the back alleys of exotic Goldshire where events have not being going so well for the proprietor as of late. |
| Desseral looks tipsy. |
| Barkeep Hann says: Step right up and wet your whistle. |
| Ilarra stares. |
| Zhàlar raises his eyebrow inquisitively at Chelody. |
| Kraye has joined the raid group. |
| Silveria whispers, "Oh, no thank you..." to Varley. |
| Chelody says: Overburdened with debt, it seems his small operation might soon be going under. The night, however, is only just beginning. |

| Shaila seems to be sobering up. |
| Khaetlyn nods her thanks to Varley. |

| Kriysia says: Who could have forseen that the public at large woudl be repelled instead of attracted by the genious marketing that's a free seafood buffet? |
| Varley seems to be sobering up. |
| Kayasi pauses, and tries to climb up onto the railing to get a better look. |
| Florinai says: ... Yum... |
| Shael says: Maybe only providing poisonous and otherwise lethal sea creatures had something t'do with it? |
| Kriysia says: Those were the ones that were going cheap! |
| Zhàlar covers his face with his palm. |
| Florinai blinks, then sticks out her tongue. |
| Kriysia says: I was passing on the savings to the consumers! |
| Silveria giggles quietly. |
| Shael says: You brought 'em in still alive! |

| Kriysia says: Fresh from the seas to your mouth! |

| Hinote covers her face with her palm. |
| Kriysia says: They should have been praising my speedy personal deliveries! |
| Florinai giggles with a "eeew!" |

| Lumia seems to be sobering up. |
| Kriysia says: Not running away! |
| Kayasi laughs at you. |
| Zhàlar laughs. |
| Tiran shakes his head with amusement. |

| Talaana nods along. This logic follows perfectly. |
| Kriysia says: That level of suervice is almost unheard of in today's businesses! |

| Farrin Daris says: When will someone do something about the undead? |
| Shael groans and covers his eyes. |
| Savvi whispers low, "I have to wonder how much of this story is based on actual occurance ..." |
| Shael says: It don't matter anyway... I can't repay the debts on this place. If we don't make an obscene amount of profit tonight I'll have to close the doors. |
| Varley is totally not Varley. |
| Kraye watches stoicly |
| Varley whispers "Based on a true story!" |
| Silveria twitches her ears, looks at Savvi, and giggles. |
| Zhàlar seems to be sobering up. |
| Kriysia says: But... you can't do that! |
| Khaetlyn leans back and eyes her knight suddenly concerned a moment, but relaxes after a moemnt and turns back to the play. |
| Kriysia says: This place is like home to me! |
| Shael says: That's because you've nowhere else to live. |
| Shael says: You sleep behind the bar! |
| Zhàlar laughs. |
| Florinai quietly snickers to herself. |
| You nod. |
| Kriysia says: Would you rather I risk showing up late to work? |
| Shael says: What work? |
| Shael says: Look around you, Varley. We've hardly had any customers for a week. |
| Kriysia looks around. |
| Shael grabs a bottle from the bar and takes a long pull. He swallows emphatically before speaking with tears his voice. |
| Florinai blinks at you. |
| Shael says: This'll be our last night. |
| Kriysia says: Don't say that! |
| Silveria looks sympathetic. |
| Kriysia says: You've got to think positive! |
| Florinai nods. |
| Kriysia says: I'm sure things will get better! |
| Lumia murmurs, "Surprisingly true to life, this play. Art mirroring reality indeed." |
| Shael says: Hmph. Can't get much worse! |
| Kriysia says: That's the spirit! |
| Garilos has joined the raid group. |
| Varley whispers back "I write what I know!" |
| Kriysia slams her fist down onto the counter. A chunk breaks off. |
| Tharyn seems to be sobering up. |
| Kraye seems to be sobering up. |
| Shael stares, wilting. |
| Shaila winces. |
| Ravencrown looks tipsy. |
| Kayasi winces. |
| Kriysia says: Er. That is to say. |
| Varley throws a chunk of wood onto the ground. Special effects! |
| Desseral seems to be sobering up. |
| Desseral sways. A little. |
| Kriysia steps forward, and begins to sing. |
| Kriysia says: Cheer up, it won't last forever! |
| Farrin Daris says: Where is everyone? |
| Ilarra says: ..oh Goddes.. |
| Ravencrown twitches. |
| Korin just stares. |
| Varley takes out his accordion. |
| Talaana flattens her ears. |
| Kriysia says: These bad times'll break soon, you'll see! |
| Varley starts to play! |
| Aevylmar tries to pull himself back onto his chair. |
| Kriysia says: Chin up, now never say never. |
| Kriysia says: The best things in life are free! |
| Silveria looks as if she can scarcely believe her wildly twitching ears. |
| Kriysia takes a breath. |
| Kerias holds back her giggles. |
| Tiran has left the raid group. |
| Kraye blinks. |
| Kriysia says: That bottle you're chugging ain't empty! |
| Shael looks at the bottle in his hand. |
| Florinai flops off the banister, giggling. |
| Kriysia says: And though now this bar ain't half full... |
| Hinote lets out a long, drawn-out sigh. |
| Tavernkeep Smitts says: Welcome to the Scarlet Raven. It's best to stay indoors these days. |
| Aynex takes a sip from his hipflask. |
| Aynex seems a little tipsy from the Caraway Burnwine. |
| Shael takes another long pull. |
| Khaetlyn looks sidelong at Florinai and giggles softly. |
| Kriysia says: That pretty much means that you're just guaranteed |
| Zhàlar seems a little tipsy from the Bottle of Pinot Noir. |
| Kriysia says: To not have to fight for a stool! |
| Florinai claps excitedly for you. |
| Kriysia 's singing isn't great, but it's not horrible. SHe's enthusiastic, though. |
| Lumia glares angrily at Tavernkeep Smitts. |
| Shael tosses the empty bottle behind him. |
| Desseral says: oh it Rhymes! |
| Kyoshi seems a little tipsy from the Brewfest Brew. |
| Kriysia says: Unhappiness never helped no one! |
| Ravencrown looksh at the thrown bottle. |
| Kraye says: ...hm. |
| Kriysia says: Look on the bright side, old friend! |
| Kriysia says: We might make a loss in the short run, |
| Ravencrown looksh at Ravenwings. |
| Ravencrown frowns. |
| Kraye seems a little tipsy from the Brewfest Brew. |
| Ravenwings tells Ravencrown NO. Not going to happen. |
| Kriysia says: But there's no stinking drunks to attend! |
| Kriysia turns to the owner. |
| Zhàlar seems to be sobering up. |
| Shael says: Look outside "friend" and you'll see its night time, |
| Kyoshi catches a flying bottle coming his way. |
| Ravencrown whimpers.... |
| Threnn grins wickedly. |
| Shael says: "The bright side?" Good light, are you dense? |
| Kriysia says: Cut me some slack here, I'm trying to rhyme! |
| Khaetlyn giggles. |
| Kriysia says: ANd I meant the metaphorical sense. |
| Florinai grins. |
| Shael sighs. |
| Zhàlar lets out a hearty chuckle. |
| Aynex chuckles softly. |
| Kriysia says: Put an end to your moping and moaning! |
| Xeriozor seems a little tipsy from the Brewfest Brew. |
| Kriysia says: Thinking positive is the key! |
| Shael crosses his arms. |
| Kriysia says: Just don't sit there mumbling and groaning, |
| Kriysia says: Cause you won't get no pit from me. |
| Kriysia looks at Shael expectantly. |
| Farrin Daris says: The light appears to have forsaken us. |
| Shael taps his foot and looks severely unimpressed as the music ends. |
| Lumia whispers, "Varley, how did you get Shael to act in your play /again/?" |
| Varley does a final wailing accordian solo. |
| Kriysia sighs, and starts polishing the bar top. |
| Varley finishes with a flourish. |
| Lumia rubs the bridge of her nose. |
| Kraye winces at the accordian. |
| Hinote winces. |
| Shaila stares at Varley. Impressed. |
| Florinai claps excitedly. |
| Aynex seems to be sobering up. |
| Kriysia says: Our luck has to change for the good sometime. |
| Khaetlyn claps excitedly for you. |
| Kerias loves wailing accordian solos! |
| Maevisa seems a little tipsy from the Jug of Bourbon. |
| Kriysia says: I'm almost sure the laws of probability demand it. |
| Silveria applauds, still looking a little dazed. And giggles. |
| Kriysia says: Why, I bet any moment now someone is going to burst through that door and shower us with money and fineries. |
| Kriysia points at the door. |
| Kyoshi seems to be sobering up. |
| Tiran nods at Varley. |
| Florinai looks over her shoulder. |
| Shael looks, and shakes his head. |
| Desseral blinks. |
| Shael says: I'm not gonna hold my breath. |
| Varley nods at Tiran. |
| Varley starts to charge. |
| Kraye seems to be sobering up. |
| Shael grabs another bottle, and prepares to drink. |
| Kriysia says: Aha! I knew it! |
| Shael gasps! And chokes. |
| Kriysia beams. |
| Chelody peers out from behind stage and cheers a little. |
| Lumia whispers, "Oh Naaru..." suddenly remembering this part of the play. |
| Ilarra blinks at Isi. |
| Kriysia says: What can I get you fellows? |
| Silveria gives Lumia a concerned look. |
| Ilarra smiles and offers Isi a reserved ticket. |
| Shael lets out a hacking cough. |
| Varley says: You can start by giving us all your gold! |
| Varley threatens you with the wrath of doom. |
| Florinai blinks. |
| Tiran says: Nobody move, this is a robbery! |
